During the winter months there is always a increase in crime and this seems to be related the to the early darker nights. So how can we help prevent ourselves from becoming a statistic. Our locksmith and trainer Derek suggests that the easiest method to help prevent opportunist theft from property is to ensure you keep your doors and windows closed and locked with a key and of course if you have a door lock that isnt working or is faulty then we suggest that this lock is repaired or replaced, its surprising how many theft from property scenarios we go to were the theft has occurred through a unlocked door.
