Our Locksmith Training Courses Which One Is For You ?
At Lockkeys Locksmiths we only train one to one (unless with prior agreement of students). At the moment in the UK there is no registration or licensing of locksmiths so anyone can set themselves up as a locksmith. In other words although there is a qualification for locksmiths which is the Level 3 Diploma For Commercial Locksmiths and Security you do not need to do this course to become a locksmith. This course can be completed at a later date if you wish after you become more experienced in the profession.
Part-Time One To One Locksmith Training Course (£225 Per Day)
Our new part-time 5 day locksmith training course priced at £225 per day as been developed for those who would rather spend more time completing the course without the need to take a full 5 days out from work, and allows for a person to complete the course over a number of weeks or months during their days off.
The course structure although on a part time basis will follow the same route as the full 5 day course.
2 Day Gain Entry Locksmith Training Course (£225 Per Day)
Our 2 day Locksmith Training Course priced at £225 per day is intended for maintenance staff who would like to increase their skills and knowledge in gaining entry to euro cylinder/rim cylinder type locks which account for more than 80% of all doors found in the UK today.
It is not for learners who do not have any previous knowledge of locks and or how to use tools as we will be covering subjects were prior knowledge is required. Subjects covered includes:

Units Include: understanding the roles, responsibilities, principles and practices of locksmithing and security engineering, reducing the risks to health and safety at work, effective communication, preparing and maintaining equipment and machines, providing quotations for security devices and hardware, principles of key cutting, maintaining the security of customers’ keys and records during locksmith activities, the principles of key repairs, the principles of lock types and practice of their opening methods and key learning techniques.
This qualification is assessed through a portfolio of work and is estimated will take between 6 - 12 months to complete.
This is a comprehensive course which leads to a regulated qualification the price includes all course and qualification registration fees.
