So You Want To Become A Locksmith Pt 1

So your reading this because you want to become a locksmith so what do you need to do ? Ive been trading now since 2009 so have learned a thing or two about the locksmith business which I will share with you now in the hope of saving you a few quid and increasing your chance of success in your chosen field.
First of all you need to be aware that just like any other business start up you are not going to hit the road running so dont think your going to be earning thousands of pounds a month because unless your very, very lucky you wont and this is the reason why.
There are already locksmiths working in your area that customers know, they do not know about you or your new business so you need to let them know who you are and what you do and this takes time. So whilst your waiting you will still need to put bread on the table and pay bills so you need to know how you are going to achieve this.
The picture of a phone is at the top of this blog for a reason, its to remind you that in order to be successful in your business you need to get your phone to ring. In other words you can be the best locksmith in the world but if you cant get your phone to ring then your business will fail.
Part 2 of this blog will go into the different types of advertising/marketing you will need to do in order to get your name out there in order to give yourself a chance to succeed. Dont do it and I guarantee your business will not last.
