Interesting Gate Lock

When you become a locksmith it becomes a bit of an obsession, you cant help looking at locks when your out and about and to rove a point this photo was taken by a member of our whatsapp locksmiths group. The gate lock photo was taken inside a park in Hertfordshire.
The way that this lock is set up was identified and made by someon as normally the gate would lock into a keep on the gatepost but for some reason this could not be done here. Some thought went into it and I dont think you will see another one like it. I certainly wouldnt like to replace the lock which appears to be welded to the gate itself to allow for the locking bolt.
